He is survived by: his wife Erene Tapp of Brownsdale, Minnesota; his children, Beverly VanBuskirk (Harry) of Sargeant, Jerry Tapp (Gary Williams) of Albert Lea and Gene Tapp (Bridget) of Brownsdale, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Jason VanBuskirk (Bridget), Justin VanBuskirk (Connie), Hillary Swanson (Dan), Jared VanBuskirk (Theresa), Branden Tapp (Jess), Lydell Tapp (Stacy), Brittany Laber (Josh), Kiley Brown (Luke) and Brooke Tapp (Matthew McKenney); and his brothers, Delmer and John Tapp. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
