He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Nelson and Nina Nelson (Hansen); his son Perry Nelson; his grandson Levi Anderson; and his brothers, Don Nelson and Vern Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Erickson; his daughters, Holly Goad (Mark) of Cloquet, MN and Diana Nelson of Winston, OR; his siblings, Harry Nelson of Troup, TX, Lyle Nelson (Sherry) of Arp, TX, Barb Sharp (Erine) of Spear Fish, SD and Dade Molgaard of Bruno, MN; and his pet Lucky. He is also survived by nine grandkids, seven great grandkids; three sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law, his best friends.
