He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Burmeister and Hester Burmeister; his brother Norman; and his son-in-law Timothy Whalen. He is survived by: his wife Marion Stangler; his sister Louella; and his stepdaughters, Deb Morken (Bob) of Spring Grove, Dawn Palmer of Byron, Diane Meyer (Doug) of Eyota, Denise Whalen (John Sheehan) of Rochester and Dana Noble (Todd) of Emily. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Memorials can be given to your favorite charity. Three of our favorite charities are Greenfield Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society, and the Alzheimer's Association.
