He was predeceased by : his wife Julia; his son Neal; and his parents, Elmer and Marion. He is survived by : his children, Debra Sorensen (Greg), Denise Dittrich (Allen) and Dean Hoover (Rosemary). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one brother, nieces and nephews.

Due to the Covid-19 situation private services will be held.
