He is survived by: his close friend Celeste Wirkus; his mother Jeanette Flynn; his children, Abby Akkerman (Andrew), Ben Flynn and Jen Tuhy (Pete); his grandchildren, Evalyn, Easton Akkerman, Amaya Holdbrook, Thomas and Aubrey Mathias; his great grandchild Tessa Holdbrook; and his siblings, Joe Flynn (Kelly), Beth McCarthy (Doug), Laurie Pflug (Scott), Paul Flynn (Kate) and Ann Flynn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (609 5th St S, Stillwater, MN 55082).
