It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leo Hayes of Clarissa, Minnesota, born in Iona, Minnesota, who passed away on December 31, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Rose Hayes (Kotval) and Homer C Hayes; his wife Ramona Nelson; his brothers, Amos, Donald and Richard; and his grandson Andrew Hayes.
He is survived by : his children, Greg Hayes (Sarah) of Pelican Rapids, MN, Spencer Hayes (Chris) of Clarissa, MN, Ken Hayes (Linda) of Hugo, MN and Cindy (Mark Lewer) of Guthrie, MN.; his grandchildren, Kari Iverson, Melissa Hayes, Susie Hayes, Kirk Hayes, Mike Hayes, John Hayes and Valerie Hayes Wunder; and his great grandchildren, Lauren Kilvington, Avyn Hayes, Brandon, Cerina, Abie Hayes, Danica, Lydia Hayes, Rylee Hayes, Gretchen and Chloe Hayes.
In lieu of flowers, contributions should be sent to the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa or the United Methodist Church of Clarissa, both of whom contributed to dad "living happily ever after".
