He is survived by: his wife Deborah DeFoe of Cloquet; his children, Zebence Joni DeFoe (Todd Dishion) of Seattle, Billie DeFoe-Robinson (Frederick) of Eau Claire, Roberta Dawe of Kansas City, Alberta Dawe of Kansas City, Jessica Sterling (Jason Puent) of Duluth, Dan DeFoe of Duluth, Tony DeFoe of Duluth and Skye Nelson of Minneapolis; his stepson Thomas Dawe of Kansas City; his siblings, Dean "Tom" DeFoe of Duluth and Margo Casey of Janesville, Wisc.; and his grandchildren, Ricardo, Jasmin, Eduardo, Hector, Chayanne, Keira, Deja, D. J., Harrison, Sora, Jackson and Adonis. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
