He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Kunze and Rose Kunze (Roy); his brother Sylvester "Ted"; his former wife Iris Laugen; his wife Edith Kerr; his daughter Kathleen; and his grandson Samuel.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Kunze (Joan) of Cloquet, Mary Lundberg (Glen) of Kennedy, MN and Barbara Reed (Randy) of Kennewick, WA; his sister-in-law Dorothy Roes of Moorhead; and his grandchildren, Amy Jollymore, Rose Anderson (Heather), Jennifer Mostoller, Christine Voss (Aaron), James Kunze (Amy), Terry Johnson (Shawn), Sandy Mosley (Ryan), Sarah Nelson (Bryn) and Jessica Williams (Brian). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
