It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jane C. Widmer of Cologne, Minnesota, born in Albertville, Minnesota, who passed away on June 2, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Rudolph Lindenfelser and Ethel Lindenfelser (Jackman); her husband Godfrey H. "Fritz" Widmer; and her siblings, Corinne, Anthony, Richard and Laura.
She is survived by : her children, Russ (Pat Widmer), Marise Widmer (John Masiulis), Chrysa (Dana Olson), Robert (Rachel Widmer), Paul (Joni Widmer) and Michael Widmer (Andrea Ryan); her daughter-in-law Sharon Widmer of St. Bonifacius, MN; her grandchildren, Tony Widmer, Mike, Debbie Widmer, Matthew, Katie Widmer, Joe, Lonnie Widmer, Jennifer, Jesse Swanson, Megan Olson (Nick Pope), Michelle, Jeff McKenna, Micah Olson, Jonah Widmer, Elise, Abraham Faugstad, Claire Widmer, Kate Widmer and Erin Widmer; her great grandchildren, Brittany, Jay, Madison, Jack, Justine, Tim, Brooke, Guy, Austin, Georgia, Alexandra, Aiden, Oliver, Emilia and Hilde; her great great grandchildren, Olivia and Theodore; her sisters, Shirley Steffens of St. Michael, MN and Mildred Freeman of St. Michael, MN; and her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Lindenfelser of Monticello, MN and Marlene Lindenfelser of Albertville, MN. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Chaska, and Ridgeview Medical Center, Waconia, in Jane's name.
