He is survived by : his wife Judy Bastian of New Ulm; his children, Mary Allen of New Ulm, LaVonne Hindermann (Alfred) of Hutchinson, Cindy Olson (John) of St. James, Dennis Bastian (Kathleen) of St. Paul, Thomas Bastian (Elizabeth) of East Troy, Peter Bastian of New Ulm, James Bastian (Kathleen) of New Ulm, Mark Bastian of New Ulm and Dino Bastian of Lino Lakes; his siblings, Elaine Boynton of Arizona, Joan Fuchs (Eugene) of Morgan, Bernice Bastian of Columbia Heights, Diane Bastian of Columbia Heights, Dorothy Siekmann of Columbia Heights, Charles Bastian (El Donna) of Plymouth, Donald Bastian of New Ulm and David Bastian of Garrison; and his former life partner Elizabeth Dietz. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
