He was predeceased by: his sisters, Marjorie Mundy and Mariam Peltzer. He is survived by: his children, Loraine, Russell and Linda (Ray Makeever); his wife Gertrude Breitag; his children, Ron, Lori Bryant (Gary) and Russ; his grandchildren, Eric, Joel and Marie Bryant; and his daughter Sophia Breitag.

Last year, during the pandemic isolation, he moved in with Gert again, and they marked their 72nd anniversary.
