It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ann Savaloja of Deerwood, Minnesota, born in Wadena, Minnesota, who passed away on April 23, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Guy Erckenbrack and Sophia Erckenbrack (Von Engeln); her husband Harold; her sons, Terry, Mark and John; her son-in-law Bruce "Bud" Nelson; and her siblings, Robert, Wallace, Vernon, Clyde, Victor, Harvey, Donald Cleon, Guy, Luella, Ellen, Gladys and Lois.

She is survived by : her children, Bruce of Wamego, Kansas, Linda Nelson of Deerwood, Cathy Vidmar (John) of Buffalo and Peggy Rosier (Dale) of Grand Rapids; her daughter-in-law Ginny Savaloja of Trommald; and her sister-in-law Pat Savaloja of Orangevale, CA. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Koop Funeral Home (32 E Main St, Crosby, MN 56441). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
