She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Viken and Lena Viken (Finell); her son Jason Smith; and her brother James Viken. She is survived by: her husband Alan Smith; her children, Murray Smith (Donna) and Paula Winter; her grandchildren, Jordan Smith (Nicole), Tyler Smith (Craig O'Keefe), Samantha Smith, Kayla Winter (James Eaves) and Christine Winter; her great grandchildren, Henry, Josephine, Charlie, Oliver and Lena; and her sisters, Leanna Aarsvold (Kaare) and Rosalie Ross (Brian). She is also survived by relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge or Dakota Boys Ranch.
