She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Benson and Pearl Benson (Glover); her husband Keith George Brekken; her daughter Jill Blauert; her sister Orlynn Hanson; and her half-siblings, Valerie Stall, Tammy Stall and Kevin Stall.
She is survived by: her son John Brekken; her granddaughter Brianna Byer (Ethan); her half-brothers, Brad Stall, Darwin Stall and Wayne Stall; and her son-in-law Bruce Blauert.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM and from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the David-Donehower Funeral Home (609 US-10, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (1043 Lake Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501).
