Mattson of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, who passed away on November 24, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Adolf H. Mattson and Mathilda C. Erickson Mattson; his grandparents, Andrew O., Christine Erickson, Erick and Johanna Mattson; his wife Mary Ann Elaine Grover; his sister Adeline Teigland; and his son-in-law Donald McDowell (Mac).

He is survived by : his children, Susan McDowell (Randy Carlson), Christine McGaha (David), Erick Mattson (Kathy), Scott Mattson (Tracey) and Rebecca Mattson; and his friends, Glenn Hanson, Verna, Jim Lambert, June, Clyde Ziegelmann, Tammy, Paul Kvernen and Connie Anderson. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and special nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
