He was predeceased by : his parents, Herman Meemken and Lena Meemken (Kalla); his wife Rosemary Sparng; his brother-in-law Ken Malikowski; his nephew Matt Gertken; and his girlfriend Marjorie Olson.

He is survived by : his siblings, Julitta Malikowski of St. Cloud, Coletta Legatt (Jim) of Fridley and Walter (Ione) of Richmond.

Memorials are preferred to the Poor Clare's Monastery in Sauk Rapids.
