He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Ruhl and Evelyn Ruhl (Redning); his son Steven; his siblings, Marlene, Marcia and Wayne; and his son-in-law Ron Johnson.
He is survived by: his former wife Arlene Setterlund; his wife LaVonna; and his children, Sharon Ruhl (Brian), Nancy Hunt (John), Cindy Ruhl, Jim Butler (Diane), Jerry Butler (Le), Jolee Johnson, John Butler (Ellen) and Joel Butler. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 44+ great- grandchildren.
