Eli Kopperud Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eli Kopperud of Ely, Minnesota, born in Brush Prairie, Washington, who passed away on April 27, 2021 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Eli Kopperud to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Linda Kopperud (Mathiason) and Eimer Kopperud; his wife Shirley; his siblings, Truman (Elffie), Marlin (Verna), Konrad (Marian), Eldora Bakken (Floyd), Lorraine Steffin (Oscar) and Anna Margaret Warner (Earl); and his sister-in-law Marge Trembath.
He is survived by : his children, Brian of Mapleton, MN and Laurie Mertz (Jim) of Bloomington, MN; his granddaughters, Ryann and Kenzie Mertz; his close friend Jean Nelson of Ely; his brother Roger Kopperud (Marian) of Westbrook, MN; his brother-in-law Tom Trembath of Ely; and his nephew Keith Trembath (Patty). He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation in Butch's name, either online or directed to the family.
