He is survived by : his wife Sharon Bassett of Fairmont, MN; his children, Brian Bassett (Ann) of Arlington, TX, Allan Bassett of Fairmont, MN, Lisa Stackhouse (Joe) of Blaine, MN and Mark Bassett of Fairmont, MN; his grandchildren, Brandon Bassett of Buffalo Center, IA., Tyson Bassett of Fairmont, MN, Jackson Bassett of Dolliver, IA and Jenna Lettow (Mark) of Iowa Falls, IA; and his great grandchildren, Layden, Bailee Bassett of Elmore, MN, Henrik, George of Iowa Falls, IA and Hailee Bassett of Buffalo Center, IA..

Memorials are preferred to St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, or to the Fairmont Fire Department.
