He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmer Malo and Lucille Malo (Grems); his son-in-law Ron Olson; his brothers, Roland Malo and Robert Malo; his former life partner Laurel; his siblings-in-law, Mervine Glaeske, Wayne Schroeder and Roger Luckow; his niece Nancy Schoeder; and his parents-in-law, Edwin and Florence Luckow.

He is survived by : his wife Beth Malo of Fairmont, MN; his children, Pam Olson of Watertown, MN, Robin Wickersham (Curtis) of Nixa, MO, Sara Cummings (Lyle Riggs) of Madison, KS and Kevin Malo of North Liberty, IA; his sister Lois Thiesse of St. Peter, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Malo of Fairmont, MN, Arlys Malo of Fairmont, MN, Norma Jean Schroeder of Fairmont, MN, Leilani Boosinger of Dunnell, MN and Larry Glaeske of Gaylord, MN. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Memorials are preferred to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont or to the donor's choice.
