It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Sanders of Fairmont, Minnesota, who passed away on December 30, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floren "Pat" and Eva Sanders (Goodrich); his brothers, Loyle Wood, George and Renata Benck; and his nephew Stacy Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Benck; his children, Karen Gainey (Ron) and Duane Sanders (Melody); his grandchildren, Ronnie Gainey II, Damon Gainey (Elaine), Heather Pint (Karl), Jennifer Reinsma (Joseph) and Mary Elizabeth Sanders-Reithmeyer (Seth); his great grandchildren, Kellan, Finley Gainey, Bethany, Ben, Thomas, Jakob Pint, Xavier and Xander Reinsma; and his sister Elaine Wood. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family.
The family asks that people are mindful of social distancing guidelines, wearing masks and best practices in helping to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
