He was predeceased by: his parents, John Doherty and Elizabeth Doherty (Nash); his wife Genevieve A. Mathe; his children, Richard Doherty and Julie Johnson; his siblings, Robert, John (Adeline), Elmer (Ruth), James (Edith), Patrick (Mary) and Mary Arnold; his parents-in-law, Mary and Alois Mathe; and his sisters-in-law, Lois Harned and Beverly Mathe.
He is survived by: his children, Marie Doherty, Steven Doherty, Alice Martin (Randy), Jerome Doherty (Karen), Maureen Cordova (David) and Joanna Lange (Mark); his son-in-law Lyle Johnson; his grandchildren, Ashlee, Amanda, Kristina, Kenney, Caitlyn, Genevieve, James, Elizabeth, Victoria, Alexandra, Gabriella and Isabella; his great grandchildren, Isaiah, Aubrey, Ayden, Josh, Aurora, Brooklyn, Lillian and Lacey; and his siblings-in-law, Lawrence Mathe, Al Mathe and Rita Hansen.
Due to COVID-19 guidelines, social distancing guidelines will be observed, masks are encouraged, and the number of guests will be monitored.
