He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Michael and Elsie Michael (Carpenter); his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Luella Kern; his siblings, Evelyn Meschke (William), Norvel Michael (Lucille), Verle Michael (Donna) and Sharon Parker (Doug); and his siblings-in-law, Noreen Kern, Jim, Sue Reuvers and Alice Kern.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Kern; his children, Scott Michael (Crystal Simek) of Faribault, Pam Melchert (Jerry) of Faribault and Barb Morris (Mark) of Morristown; his grandchildren, Mikala Caron, Amanda, Tara Melchert, Kyle Morris (Paige Dahle) and Eric Morris (Kyeria); and his great grandchildren, Ayden, Atley Qualey, Emery and Kaylen Morris. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
