She is survived by: her husband Dwight Elthon; her children, Justin Elthon (Crystal) of Cottage Grove, MN and Serena Oelfke (Tom) of Lakeville, MN; her brother Bryce Boyer of Faribault; her grandchildren, Ava Elthon and Jack Elthon; and her stepfather Ken DuChene.

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials in Brenda's name may be directed to Mayo Clinic Multiple Myeloma Research.
