He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Swanson and Elfrieda Swanson (Peters); and his brother Harlan. He is survived by: his pet Boots; his brother Dale Swanson (Corrine) of Blooming Prairie, MN; and also Kenny Ernste. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; and many cousins and other relatives and friends.
In his later years, David battled with Parkinson's but with his determination and stubbornness, he persevered for many years living on the farm.
