It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Francis John Gernandt of Faribault, Minnesota, who passed away on January 5, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Gernandt and Grace Gernandt (Lockrem); his wife Judy Johnson; and his sister Donna Gernandt. He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Dalton (Sam) of Richfield and Shari Leubner (Pat) of Apple Valley; his grandchildren, Dan Dalton (Jess), Jenny Dalton, Michael Leubner (Stephanie) and Brianna Lempelious (Tony); his great grandchildren, Jack, Audrina, Joey, Brooklyn and Aubrey; his siblings, Robin Gernandt (Kim), Jo Ann Mayer (Bob), Patty Keahey (John) and Dianne Velzke (Dave); and his close friend Gail Kielmeyer. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the University of Minnesota Raptor Center.
