It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene W. Marti of Faribault, Minnesota, born in Rochester, Minnesota, who passed away on November 6, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Marti and Carol Marti (Southworth); and his brothers, Jim and John Marti. He is survived by: his former wife Kathryn Anderson; his wife Wendy Thielbar (Carlson); his close friend Wendy Marti; his children, Elsa Nechas (Ryan) and Jacob Marti (Jill Thole); his stepchildren, Shannon Thielbar (Jessie Bettenburg) and Jennifer Nelson (Robert Thrash); his sister Linda Ferry (Aiden) of Scottsdale, AZ; his grandchildren, Gavin, Gweneth Nechas, Talia, Sam Thielbar, Gabriella, Teague Nelson, Chase and Brooke Thole; and his friend Dorothy DeJong. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
