Gerald W. Schmitz Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald W. Schmitz of Faribault, Minnesota, who passed away on February 14, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Schmitz and Edith Schmitz (Ray); his grandson William Thomas Wagner; his siblings, Fred Schmitz Jr., Elnora Lundell, Florence Borwege and Roger Borwege; and his sister-in-law Lorraine Schmitz.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Schmitz; his son Brad; his grandchildren, Tanner and Mara Schmitz; his daughter Becky Zabinski; his grandchildren, Kelly and Parker Schendzielos; his great grandchildren, Connor, Kali and Walker; his grandchildren, Kari Zabinski, Sheri and Tim Wagner; his great grandchild Josh Wagner (Sydney); his grandchildren, Parker Wagner and Stacy Kruger; his great grandchild Braden; his siblings, Donald Schmitz and Nancy; and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Schwartz and Beverly Schmitz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family prefers that memorials be directed to Bethlehem Academy High School in memory of Jerry.
