It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Olmsted Sr. of Faribault, Minnesota, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on March 14, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Olmsted and Josephine Olmsted (Sanchez); and his brother David Olmsted. He is survived by: his wife Millie Birkinshaw; his sons, John Olmsted Jr. of Apple Valley and Jeffrey Olmsted (Andrea Smith) of Chaska; his brothers, Ed Olmsted and Richard Olmsted (Marcia); and also Millie Olmsted of Faribault. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers that memorials be directed to the Chaska Public Library in memory of John.
