With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leonard Sorbel Sr. (Faribault, Minnesota), born in Saint James, Minnesota, who passed away on December 21, 2019 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ingebold Sorbel and Helga Sorbel (Johnson); his sons, Leonard Sorbel Jr. and Kenneth Sorbel; his granddaughter Lisa Meyer; his great grandchild Megan Darlington; and his brothers, Eldon, Glen, Irving, Clinton and Dick Sorbel.
He is survived by: his former spouse Goldiemae Vincent; his wife Goldie Sorbel of Faribault; his children, Karen Van Erp (Dale Sr.) of Faribault, Larry Sorbel of Faribault, Michelle Sorbel of Faribault and Brian Sorbel of Faribault; his grandchildren, Dale Van Erp, Martin Van Erp Jr., William Sorbel, Alex Van Erp (Madison), Paige Sailor, Ashley Van Erp, Dustin Anderson, Miranda Meyer, Adam Sorbel, Jr., Janie Ortiz (Adrian), Angie Van Erp and Marie Greybuffalo; his sister Vernell Sorbel of St. James; his sister-in-law Hella Sorbel; and his friends, Bob Larson and Kevin Stadler. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
