He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Horwath and Ruth Horwath (Ressler). He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Ellingboe; his children, Mark Horwath (Susan) of Princeton, Illinois, Scott Horwath of Ixonia, Wisconsin, Colleen Hilker of Marion, Iowa, Jeffrey Horwath (Connie) of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and Philip Horwath (Mary) of Mankato; and his grandchildren, Kristin Horwath Richmond, Katrina Horwath Junis, Karin, Erik, Michael, Autumn, Maria Horwath, Aleeshia Tapia (Ben), Jessica Hilker Glandon (Mike), Daniel Hilker (Jamie), Christopher (Larissa) and Matthew Swader (Emi). He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great, great granddaughter, as well as many nieces and nephews.
