He was predeceased by: his parents, William P. Sr. Naughton and Theresa Naughton (Odette); his wife Shirley Katra; his daughter Patty Naughton; his grandson Ben Smith; his sister Virginia Fordahl; his son-in-law Steven Malecha; and his siblings-in-law, Theresa White (Al), Irene Schweisthal, Dennis Valentyn and Bernard James Katra (Mary).
He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela K. Smith (Steve Janovsky) of Faribault and Cynthia L. Malecha (Michael Lehman) of Faribault; his grandchildren, Willy Malecha (Ali Jo Dupay), Beth Smith, Brandy Bauer (TJ), Jason Smith (Emily) and Hunter Janovsky; his great grandchildren, Kristi Smith, Courtney Malecha, Kali Ann Smith, Aubrey Smith, Mishick Smith and McKenna Lynn Bauer; his siblings, Jim Naughton (Sandi) of Aitkin, MN, Margaret Uble (Bill) of Cambridge, MN and Barbara Turek (Elton) of Montgomery, MN; and his brother-in-law Larry Katra of Faribault. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
