He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Torgerson and Ella Torgerson (Moen); his sibling's children, Candace Galler and Randy Newhouse; his great-nephew Shaun Michael Kemnitz; his brothers-in-law, Lyle Kemnitz, Harold Newhouse and Arnold Galler; and his half-sister Margaret Morris Lock.
He is survived by: his sisters, Gladys Kemnitz of Pembina, ND, Marlys Galler, Port St and Verna Newhouse of Grand Forks, ND; and his siblings' children, Sheila Hartje (Paul) of Bathgate, ND, Dennis Kemnitz of Warren, MN, Rick Kemnitz (Sheila) of Cavalier, ND, Perry Kemnitz (Valerie Blomquist) and Gary Newhouse of Grand Forks, ND.
