We are sad to announce that on August 17, 2025, Delores Filzen of Gaylord, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ferdinand Windschitl and Clara Windschitl (Molden); her husband Erwin R. Filzen; her son Patrick Filzen; her siblings, Hilarius "Larry" Windschitl (Sylvia), Lucille Wall (Marvin), Alfred Windschitl, Hildegaard Housegard and Clarice Weisensel (James); and her siblings-in-law, Marilyn Windschitl (Sandra Windschitl) and Perry Augustine.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Filzen (Barbara) of New Ulm, MN, Brenda Porter (James "Tim") of Palmetto, FL and David Filzen (Dawn) of Powder Springs, GA; her grandchildren, Christopher Filzen (Kathleen), Heidi Filzen-Schaefer, Casey Filzen (Nesrin), Alex Filzen (Cassidy), Matthew Filzen, Samantha Filzen and Brittany Porter (Allen Cunningham); and her siblings, Marion Augustine of Springfield, MN, Janet Earl (Richard) of New Ulm, MN, Edwin Windschitl of Springfield, MN and Sylvanus Windschitl (Bev) of New Ulm, MN. She is also survived by 14 Great-grandchildren; 3 Great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, August 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Egesdal Funeral Home (74 Main Ave, Gaylord, MN 55334). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (411 Court Ave, Gaylord, MN 55334).
