She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Muchow and Amanda Muchow (Schultz); her husband Elsworth Opitz; her parents-in-law, Carl and Ida Opitz; her siblings, Lorena Schimmelpfennig (Hilbert), Lucille Dahlke (Gerhardt), Loretta Spencer, Wilhardt Muchow (Dorothy) and Milo Muchow (Carol); and her siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Podratz (Roland), Margaret Draeger (Bernhard), Evelyn Raeth (Ervin), Leonard Opitz (Mardell), Edwin Opitz (Lorna) and Theophil Opitz (Esther).

She is survived by : her children, Nancy Dammann (Darroel) of Young America, MN, Kevin Opitz (Ann) of Eden Prairie, MN and JoWana Opitz (Jeff Cheney) of Savage, MN; her grandchildren, Megan Bergman (Erik), Timon Dammann (Kayla), Tyler Opitz, Cathy Aaseng, Cassy Day (Evan) and Gwen Hadrits (Tyler); and her great grandchildren, Carly Bergman, Danna Bergman, Carolynn Dammann, Conrad Dammann and Cheyenne Hadrits. She is also survived by Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Visitation/Gathering Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (1407 Cedar Ave N, Glencoe, MN 55336). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (1407 Cedar Ave N, Glencoe, MN 55336).
