With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Russell Arthur Leighton of Golden Valley, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 18, 2024 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by : his wife Jeanne; his great grandchild Summer "Sunny" Jean Sullivan; and his sisters, Josephine and Mary Lou. He is survived by : his children, Julie Kline (Roger), Russell, Jr., Timothy (Denise) and Christopher (Sara); his grandchildren, Victoria Samuelson, Sophia Stoos, Catherine Chicoine, Elizabeth Sullivan, Roz Leighton, Ted Leighton, Elizabeth Zumpano, Andrew Leighton, Thomas Leighton, Carly Leighton, Emily Leighton and Alison Leighton; and his great grandchildren, Vincent, Lucie, Joseph, Michael, Henry, Jack and Evan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and in laws.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Edina Chapel (7110 France Ave S, Edina, MN 55435). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 11:45 AM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
