He was predeceased by: his parents, Thore Hokanson and Minnie Hokanson (Karlsted); his daughter Sharon Strack; his son-in-law Tim Strack; his grandson Nathan Hokanson; his brother Melroy; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Hauschildt, Leah and Gloria Hokanson.
He is survived by: his wife Bonita Schaefer; his children, David of Lake City, Donna Lindahl (Jay) of Cannon Falls, Dennis of Goodhue, Troy (Alyssa) of Goodhue and Christopher (Susan) of Goodhue; his great grandchild Emily of Cannon Falls; his siblings, Gary Hokanson (Marlene), Marlene Beckman (Larry) and Kathy Hauschildt; and his sister-in-law Helen Hokanson. He is also survived by 20 grandkids.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the True North Church (410 Dakota St W, Cannon Falls, MN 55009). A burial was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the Cannon Falls Cemetery (721 State St E, Cannon Falls, MN 55009).
