He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Steinert and Julia Steinert; his siblings, Burdy LaRoque, Lorene Mattfield and Gerald Steinert; and his grandson Jacob Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Lesley "Lorraine" Porter; his children, Loretta Zipf, Amy Garthus and Dale Steinert; his siblings, Bonnie Brown, William Steinert (Kim), Joan Launius (Wayne) and Jim Steinert (Becki); and his grandchildren, Kristin, Ian Garthus, Andrew, Max, Travis Steinert, Holli White, Aijah and Carlie Jones. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
