She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Richards and Myrna Richards; her husbands, Wilfred "Bergy" Berglund and Art Carter; and her siblings, Wallace, Don, Jerry Richards and Shirley Pellinen.

She is survived by: her pet Cinder; her son Will Berglund (Joyce) of Grand Rapids, MN; her grandchildren, Jenny Virnig (Bob) and Chris Berglund (Emily); her great grandchildren, Ahna, Josie Virnig, Corbin and Kylee Berglund; her sister-in-law Darlene Richards of Wisconsin; and her stepchildren, Leslie King (Rick) of West Plains, MO and Jeffrey Carter (Linda).
