He was predeceased by: his parents, John McInnis and Avis McInnis (Cummings); and his brothers, Jim and Don. He is survived by: his children, David, Tammy, Elizabeth and Heather McInnis; and his siblings, Susan Swanson (Glen) and Dale McInnis. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
