She was predeceased by: her parents, Rollin Carlson and Daisy Carlson (Fergeson); her husbands, Clifford Peterson and Oral Watson; her children, Sharon Geissler and Russell Peterson; her stepdaughter Lynda Watson; and her stepgranddaughters, Christine and Diane.

She is survived by: her children, Merry Moody (Dwight) of Grand Rapids, MN and Merle Peterson (Peggy) of Hendersonville, NC; and her stepchildren, Curtis Peterson, Suzy Watson, Liz Watson and Leslie Reese. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 18 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to North Central Second Harvest Food Bank.
