He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Erickson and Joyce Erickson; and his grandparents, Evelyn and Donnie McNeil. He is survived by: his mother-in-law Melissa Tomberlin; his daughters, Hailey and Madison; his wife Melissa; his sister Dawn Carr (Jimmy) of Hibbing; his stepparents, Ron Johnson of Deer River and Diane of Tucson, AZ; his stepgrandmother Sis Johnson; his nieces and nephews, Jamison, Alec, Ryleigh and Aubree; his parents-in-law, Steve and Kim Tomberlin of Grand Rapids; and his sister-in-law Stephanie Alzen (Tony) of Grand Rapids. He is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Due to COVID restrictions, a private family memorial service will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
