It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Laechelt (Clarkfield, Minnesota), who passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlyn Laechelt and Alice Laechelt; his brothers, Mark and Merle Laechelt; his grandparents, Walter, Julia Laechelt, Anton and Mable Wick; and his aunts and uncles, Rose (Edward Wick), Solvieg (Floyd Belseth), Juliana (Everett Belseth), Clifford (Barb Wick) and Phyllis (Sylvester Kockleman).
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Natalie Laechelt (Mark); and his sisters, Julie Ward (Bill) of Norfolk, VA, Janet Pierce (Alfred) of Clarkfield, MN and June Laechelt of Willmar, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Granite Falls Assembly of God (1620 11th Ave, Granite Falls, MN 56241). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery (3472 260th Ave, Boyd, MN 56218).
