He was predeceased by : his parents, Peter Pfenning and Vivian Pfenning (Rothi); and his sister Barb Harris. He is survived by : his wife Linda Sather; his sons, Jhae Pfenning (Ivette) of Gilbert and Andy Pfenning of Granite Falls; his grandchildren, Jayleen and Marcelo; his great grandchild Zeke; and his sister Helen Pfenning of Portland. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations are prefered to the Saron Lutheran Church.
