He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Nelson and Frances Nelson; and his brother Richard Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Diane; his daughters, Cynthia Rico (Jason) and Sara Nelson; his grandchildren, Diana, Chris and Amanda; and his siblings, James Nelson (Nenita) and Jeanne Nelson (Bill Dennis).
