He was predeceased by: his father Wilbur Simon; his brother Michael "Hoss" Simon; and his niece Cecilia Michael Retterath. He is survived by: his mother Charlotta Simon (Winkels) of St. Ansgar, IA; his siblings, Audrey Umstead (Robert) of Orchard, IA, Ricky Simon (Christal) of St. Paul, MN, June Retterath (David) of McIntire, IA and Carol Tesch (Jason) of St. Ansgar, IA; his nieces and nephews, Robbie Umstead, Hallie, Ashley Simon, Beatrice and Dawson Retterath; his friend Brian Welke (Breanna); and also, Evelyn and Nora Welke.
Family suggests memorial contributions to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings, MN.
