It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Theodora Bernardette Hughes (Hermantown, Minnesota), who passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Butkiewicz and Elizabeth Butkiewicz; her husband F. Arthur Hughes; and her siblings, Florence Meger, Millie Currie, Lorraine Serre and Leander Butkiewicz.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Louise Monson (Craig), Greg (Julie), Rita Johnson (Dan), Celeste and Yvonne Larson (Jim); her siblings, Louis Butkiewicz, Bernard Butkiewicz (Alicia), Louise LeSavage (Richard) and Phyllis Knutson; and her sister-in-law Darlene Butkiewicz. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 35 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Raphael's Catholic Church (5779 Seville Rd, Hermantown, MN 55811). A rosary will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
