She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubbell Carpenter and Margaret Carpenter. She is survived by: her children, Samuel Roppe and Shannon (Ken); her stepchild Gretchen Jacobson (Rita) of John Roppe; her grandchildren, Jessica Reed, Samuel Swayze and Julie Anne Stroda (James); her friend Bill Lewis; her siblings, Hubbell James Carpenter (Faye) and Suzanne Gobel (Fred); Curtiz Swayze (Peggy).

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital of Minneapolis or Autism Speaks of Minnesota.
