Gerald R. Heinz Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald R. Heinz of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 11, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Laura Heinz; his parents, George Heinz and Esther Heinz; and his siblings, Ken (Char) and Kathy (Ty).
He is survived by: his children, Beth Heinz (Jim Muehlbauer), Amy Ryan (Thomas) and Scott Heinz (Angie); his grandchildren, Rachel Heaton (Cory), John Ryan, Hannah Carlin and Grace Hofer (Stewart); his great grandchild Eleanor Heaton; and his sister Janice Blair (Tim). He is also survived by eleven brothers and sisters in laws and their spouses, and many nieces, nephews, loving friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel (1 Tower Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55450). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials preferred to the University of Minnesota Institute for Translational Neuroscience or the Alzheimer's Association.
