She was predeceased by : her father Roy Broeren. She is survived by : her mother Marion Broeren (Kulawinski); her children, Ryan Smith (Jalina), Brandon Smith and Sara LaBore (Michael); her grandchildren, Norah and Jackson; and her siblings, Bruce Broeren (Judy), Barry Broeren and Debra Peterson (Tim). She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for a college fund for Laura's grandchildren.
